Reflections by the Aare

I recently captured a black and white photograph along the banks of the Aare, using my Summaron-M 1:5,6/28 lens. The photo shows a calm reflection on the water, almost like a mirror, while the edges appear slightly darkened—a gentle vignette shaped by the character of my lens.
What draws me to this image is the sense of quiet it holds. Through photography, I try to reflect moments of stillness and balance that are often overlooked in everyday life. The soft shadows, the gentle ripples, and the calm surface together create a peaceful composition that feels almost timeless.
In this photograph, I see not only the river’s reflection but also a piece of my own search for calm. It’s these simple, silent moments that I hope to share through my work.
