This morning, early in the rain and wind, we were out in the forest when, suddenly, a chamois stood before us. My dog Imo and I immediately stopped and savored the moment. I managed to capture the scene with my Leica M camera. Since I usually photograph with my favorite wide-angle lens, the Summicron-M 1:2/35, the 20-meter distance appeared much farther than it actually was. We waited until the chamois moved off the path before continuing our walk home.
