ABOUT

I discovered photography at the age of nine, and from that moment on, it never let me go. At the same time, I was a competitive ski racer. Years in ski racing shaped me deeply: discipline, focus, and the relentless pursuit of precision became part of who I am. The search for the perfect line, the perfect timing, fleeting and unforgiving, still defines the way I see and approach my work today.

My grandfather gave me my first camera, a small Kodak Instamatic loaded with 126mm film. The images I created back then were far from perfect, but perfection was never the point. What captivated me was the darkroom, a quiet, almost sacred space where images slowly emerged from darkness into light.

In that silence, I began to understand photography not as a technique, but as a way of seeing.

Today, my work is rooted in stillness. I create fine art black and white photographs, often in nature, reduced to their essential forms. Minimalistic landscapes, quiet structures, subtle contrasts, images that do not demand attention, but invite it.

The mindset I developed as a ski racer, the search for precision and the discipline to reduce everything to one decisive moment, continues to shape my visual language.

My work has been exhibited internationally, recognized with awards, and featured by organizations such as National Geographic. A television report about my work was also broadcast on SRF, Arte, and ARD.

Photography, for me, is a search for silence in a world that rarely stands still. It is about reducing, observing, and ultimately, finding a sense of perfection within simplicity.
