In the cold morning air, on the heights of the Jura above Mümliswil, I stood waiting for the sun to make its way through the thicket of trees. The Passwang, a place deeply connected to my homeland, often shrouded in mist and mystery, revealed a different side that morning – clear skies and an unforgettable sunrise.
This photograph captures the first rays of the sun piercing through the silhouettes of branches and trees. The intricate patterns and the interplay of light and shadow feel particularly striking in black and white. My Leica Monochrome, paired with the LEICA SUMMARON-M 28mm f/5.6 lens, allowed me to distill the essence of this moment: the serenity of nature and the magic of a new day.
For me, the Passwang is more than just a beautiful location – it’s part of my roots, a place that embodies the essence of home. This image is a tribute to the beauty of my homeland and to the art of photography – a perfect union of technical precision and raw emotion.
I hope this photograph conveys not only the mood of that cold morning but also inspires others to find and cherish the magic of such fleeting moments.
