An encounter you can never plan

An encounter you can never plan

An encounter you can never plan

Early in the morning, out on a walk with my dog, I came across this young deer. It came remarkably close, curious and completely calm. And my dog? Not a twitch, not a bark, not a sound. Just stillness. For a brief moment, it felt as though the two had known each other for a long time. As if this encounter were the most natural thing in the world. Moments like these remind me why I love heading out into nature with my camera. Not to force anything, but to capture what nature c

Silent Giant

Silent Giant

I stood closer than I probably should have — a 35mm lens between me and one of Africa’s last true giants. Captured during my South Africa safari tour with my Leica Monochrom Typ 246 and a 35mm lens, the moment felt raw, immediate, and intensely real. No fence. No distance. Only trust, instinct, and silence. Every wrinkle, every movement, every breath carried the weight of something ancient. In that moment, photography was no longer about capturing wildlife. It was about witnes

Cathedral of Silence

Cathedral of Silence

There are places that do not speak loudly, yet say everything. This image was captured in a space shaped by raw concrete and repetition, where architecture becomes rhythm. The structure rises and folds into itself, forming a corridor that feels almost sacred. Each curve leads the eye forward, pulling you deeper into the frame, into a quiet that feels endless. What fascinates me is the balance between weight and lightness. The concrete is massive, almost oppressive, yet the sy

Stillness in the Jura

Stillness in the Jura

Stillness in the Jura

There are mornings that feel like a quiet secret. This was one of them. I found myself in the rocky landscape of the Swiss Jura just before sunrise. The air was still and cold, the world not yet awake. The first light began to spill gently over the horizon, painting the sky in soft shades of red and gold. It was in this fleeting moment that I noticed them, two goats standing perfectly still among the rocks. Their silhouettes, framed by the rising sun, created a scene that fel

Where Wind Meets Mist

Where Wind Meets Mist

Where Wind Meets Mist

An image from the Valais mountains in February – it reveals the raw force of wind and mist colliding high in the alpine heights. The sun plays with us, shaping an intense interplay of light and shadow. Deep blacks add a striking sense of drama, while the mist, driven by the wind, is in constant motion, reshaping the scene moment by moment. The mountain ridges appear only faintly, almost fleeting – and yet the winter landscape becomes tangible. A powerful spectacle at over 3,5

Silent Water

Spring holds its breath for a moment. The lake lies still like glass — no wind, no waves. The horizon melts into the water, as if there were no boundary between above and below. The distant shore quietly reflects in the mirror of the lake.In gentle monochrome tones, everything feels calm and timeless — as if the light decided to speak only in whispers today. Shot with a Leica M11 Monochrom and a Summaron-M 28mm f/5.6.
