Hair ice is a rare type of ice formation in the cold where the presence of a particular fungus in rotting wood creates thin strands of ice that resemble hair or cotton candy.
The natural phenomenon that occurs mainly in deciduous forests at latitudes between 45–55 °N. These hair-like streaks appear at night and melt when the sun rises. ♠️
